  • The Literacy Matters program is for everyone who wants to learn more about Australian language and culture or simply wants to improve their literacy levels. Contact the Centre for more details.

TUESDAY 18th

  • “Marcus Mission” is a not for profit charity run through Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ) and holds free monthly “Resilience Building” Workshops for men (aged 18-44) at the Neighbourhood Centre on the last Tuesday of every month. The next ones this year are: Tuesday April 30th, May 28th, June 25th, July 30th, August 27th, September 24th, October 29th and November 26th. Free sessions are 2 1/2 hours long and three sessions are offered on each day: Choose from 9am, 12.30pm or 4.30pm. https://www.facebook.com/events/263582384548869/
  • Technology Training is available by appointment. You can learn how to use a laptop computer, iPad, Samsung tablet or a smartphone – we offer one on one hourly sessions customised to your individual needs. Content includes general use of your device, email and internet use, facetime and skype, apps and many more ways to make use of your device. Community and Accredited. https://www.deafservices.org.au/services/Education The Community courses are held throughout Qld – basic level courses are held for eight weeks, one night per week. Deaf Services Queensland are currently running a Certificate III in Auslan course in Bundaberg. For more information about Auslan training, please email [email protected] The accredited courses are formal training with assessments and grading. On successful completion, you will receive a nationally recognized qualification. Certificate II in Auslan is the starting point, followed by Cert III, Cert IV and Diploma of Auslan.

  • Interagency is a monthly information sharing and networking opportunity for individuals, service providers, special interest and support groups and businesses involved in the community sector. As Thursday is Harmony Day, special food will be shared to celebrate Harmony.
  • The Sewing Circle is a social opportunity to learn sewing basics, tricks and shortcuts! Learn how to read a pattern and get tips on getting to know your sewing machine. You can even learn to knit and crochet!
